How it works

Three doors. All of them open.

Swara is a platform where students hop on, learn from the community, and take 1-on-1 lessons — and where working musicians teach and keep almost everything they earn. Everything here is optional. We offer; we never pitch.

1

Learn

Hop on and learn from the community. Group workshops, open jam sessions, listening rooms where somebody plays a record and everybody shuts up and listens. Bring an instrument or just bring ears — both count.

Costs you: showing up.

2

Book a 1-on-1 lesson

Want real feedback from someone who does this for a living? Book a 1-on-1 lesson with a working artist — voice, guitar, keys, drums, production, songwriting. Over video, on your schedule, wherever you are in the world.

Costs you: the lesson fee, which goes almost entirely to your teacher (see below).

3

Teach & earn

Are you the musician? List your lessons, hold sessions, mentor the next wave — and keep 90% of every dollar. We handle scheduling, payments, and the boring legal/admin stuff with our 10%.

Costs you: nothing up front. We only earn when you do.

The 90/10 promise

You jam. We handle the rest.

Here's the entire business model, no fine print: 90% of proceeds go to the actual artist. The 10% we keep covers legal, admin fees, scheduling, and getting everybody connected — the logistics, the calendar Tetris, the "wait, what time zone are you in" stuff. You do the music. We do the paperwork.

90%

to the artist. Every lesson. Every session. Every time.

10%

to Swara — legal, admin, scheduling, logistics. That's the whole list.

The fine print that's actually fine

What "optional" really means here

Management? Offered, never pitched. If you ever want a team behind you — PR, booking, releases — we'll talk. If you'd rather just play your instrument in peace, that's the default and nobody will ever nudge you about it.

Exposure? Also optional. Some artists want the spotlight; some want a quiet calendar full of students. Both are first-class citizens here. We'll never dangle "exposure" as a substitute for pay — you get the 90%, spotlight or not.

Exclusivity? None. Teach here, teach everywhere, release wherever you want. We're a room, not a contract.
